Supplies: 9-inch Paper Plate, Green and Brown Paint, decorations for your tree, Glue, Card Stock or Toilet Paper Tube

Directions: To make the tree trunk use a toilet paper tube so it is six inches long and paint it brown. If you don't have a paper towel tube, you can use card stock. Cut the card stock so it is 6 inches by 8.5 inches and roll it into a tube and glue the side closed. To make the top of the tree paint a paper plate green and let it dry. Roll the paper plate into a cone shape as shown in the picture above. Glue it closed where it overlaps with a low glue. Glue the "tree trunk" inside the top of the tree. To finish glue sequins, pompoms, glitter, or gems on the tree to decorate.

Materials:

Green card stock

Green pip cleaner

Festive Ribbon

Pom poms

Glue

Cut about a 3 inch circle out of the card stock. Cut a Smaller circle in the center so it looks like a doughnut. Wrap circle with green pipe cleaners. Glue on pom poms. Tie a ribbon around pipe cleaner. Hang on your tree.

Supplies needed; Styrofoam ball, white yarn, white felt, pink felt, pencil, glue, festive ribbon, 2 blue beads or micro pompoms, small black pompom.

Directions; Wrap Styrofoam ball in yarn, until the ball is completely covered and Styrofoam is no longer visible. When the yarn completely covers the ball, tie a knot and cut off the excess yarn. Using the white felt, use your pencil to draw two long oval shapes (for exterior ear), then draw two slightly smaller shapes using the pink felt (inner ear). Cut out both sets of ears. Glue the pink felt to the center of the white felt, to create the ears. Once dry, glue the ears to the desired location on your yarn wrapped foam ball. Glue your small black pompom in the nose location, next glue on the blue beads or micro pompoms as the eyes. Finally, cut about 6-8” of ribbon and glue it centrally between the ears. Allow to dry before hanging.

Reindeer Ornament

Trace children’s hands on cork pads, cardboard, or brown construction paper. Have them cut out their hand outlines, offering assistance if needed. Make a small hole at the base of their hand cut out for a pipe cleaner or piece of ribbon to hang their ornament. Provide Pom Poms, eyes, buttons, and pipe cleaners. Allow the children to glue items on their hand to make a reindeer ornament.

Christmas Lights Color Match

Print off a string of Christmas lights off of the internet. Then make flash cards with the names of the colors of the Christmas lights. Provide Pom Poms of the same colors. Have the children match up the color names and Pom Poms to correct color light.
