Marshmallow Reindeer

Supplies:

Regular size marshmallows
Thin pretzel sticks
Pull and peel red licorice
Whole cloves (we used for eyes: potential choking hazard-supervise children when using)
Chocolate chips

Directions:
Lay out the supplies and allow children to use their imagination to build a reindeer with the supplies.

Snowman Gift Bag

Supplies:

White paper bag
Construction paper
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes

Directions:

Fold down a small portion of top of bag. Cut out a hat, nose, buttons, and mouth (my little helper did not want her snowman to have a mouth) from construction paper and glue on to paper bag to create a snowman (younger children may need pieces pre-cut out). Add googly eyes for eyes. Perfect bag to send home a special gift for parents!

Christmas Gift Tags and Cards

Supplies:

Cardstock
Wrapping paper cut into shapes
Scissors
Glue
Markers
Hole puncher
Ribbon

Directions: Cut cardstock into desired sizes for gift tags and cards. Create cute Christmas designs by gluing wrapping paper shapes to gift tag/card and add final touches with markers.

Punch a hole out of top of gift tag and tie on a ribbon. Add “To:” and “From:” on the back of tag.

Christmas Tree Hand Craft

Popsicle Stick Christmas Tree

Materials needed:

3 Popsicle sticks
Green marker
Beads or berries to decorate
Ribbon
Glue

Color popsicle sticks with green marker or use pre colored popsicle sticks to make it easier. Glue them together in a triangle shape like the shape of a Christmas tree. Glue berries or beads onto the popsicle sticks. Tie a ribbon on top and hang on your tree.

Paper Plate Snowman Face

Supplies Needed; Paper Plate, pipe cleaner, pompom, orange and pink construction paper, 2 wiggly eyes, black pen, and glue
Directions; Using construction paper, cut out out 2 pink circles and one orange triangle. Bend pipe cleaner and glue it to the top of your plate. Glue pompoms to either end of the pipe cleaner. Glue on wiggly eyes, nose, and pink circles for cheeks. Once glue is dry, use black pen to draw mouth.

Toilet Paper Roll Santa

Supplies Needed; Toilet paper roll, red and white construction paper, cotton balls, wiggly eyes, glue
Directions, cover toilet paper roll 1/2 red paper and 1/2 whiter paper. Cut a red triangle and wrap it around the top of the white end to make a Santa hat. Glue cotton balls to create beard and one at the top of the hat. Glue on wiggly eyes.

Swinging Gnome

Supplies Needed; Print out of Swinging Elf (swinging elf), about 2' of yarn (any color will do), crayons or markers, glue, scissors and one popsicle stick.
Directions; Decorate your Santa. Cut out your Santa. Glue the bottom of the Santa to the popsicle stick. Tie about 1' of yarn to each side of the Santa. Place the yarn upwards (towards Santa's hat). Add a drop of glue to Santa's hand silhouette, lay the yarn through the glue and across Santa's hand silhouette. Place the fist cut outs over the glue drops, so they line up with the fist silhouette.

Santa Signal House

Here is a great craft for children who have recently moved. This will help them feel at ease, knowing that Santa would know where to find them.

Supplies Needed; Electric tea light (we purchased them in packs of 4 at the local dollar store), print out of the house template (see below), and supplies to decorate your house.

Directions; Have children decorate their houses. Once decorated, assist them in cutting out their houses, then cut our the window holes and doors as designated. Then assist them in bending the paper on the dashed lines. Put glue on the tabs to form the roof ans back walls.
When assembly is complete, place lit electric tea light inside house, to light the way for Santa.
