Squirrel Squirm When the children are getting restless or just need to wiggle have the children stand up and make their best squirrel face. Next ask them how a squirrel walks, have them imitate the squirrel while making their squirrel face. Owl Eyes
Prepare a list of items you would like the children to find such as a twig, a round rock, and a green leaf. Discuss owl behaviors with the children. One action to take note of would be the way owls rotate their heads to help them point their large eyes in the right direction. Have the children "perch" outside, then when you say go they will race to see who has the best owl vision. Make sure the children don't forget to flap their wings!
