Groundhog Hand & Foot Print

Supplies:
·         Blue construction paper
·         Green and brown paint
·         paintbrush
·         Dark colored marker

Directions: Write poem onto top of blue construction paper. Paint one foot brown and press onto paper with heel of foot being placed just under the poem. Paint hands green and press down onto construction paper with heel of hand placed just below printed toes (can paint and print one hand multiples time). Paint a finger brown and use a fingerprint to add ears to groundhog. Let dry and add details with marker.
Poem: Here’s a little groundhog, furry and brown. He’s popping up to look around. If he sees his shadow down he’ll go. Then six more weeks of winter. –Oh no!

Groundhog Day Mask

You will need:

Paper plate Brown paint Brown card Black card White card Elastic

Instructions:

Paint the plate brown and leave to dry.

Carefully cut out two eye holes. Cut two circles of brown card, glue to the back of the face as the ears. Cut a black nose and two white teeth, glue these to the front of the mask.

Make a small hole each side and thread through the elastic.
