Yink’s Pink Ink
(One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish)

Ideas:· lemon-lime soda pop, ginger ale, or seltzer water and add a splash of grenadine or maraschino cherry juice.· Milk and strawberry syrup (the kind you put on ice cream not pancake syrup)· Milk and strawberries blended in a blender· Pink Lemonade· Go simple and add a drop of red food coloring to milk or a clear carbonated beverage.

Yertle the Turtle

Supplies:

Paint and paint brushes
Construction paper
Tissue paper
Glue
Scissors

Directions: Use construction paper or tissue paper to create a turtle shell. Add arms, legs, head and tail with paint.

Truffula Trees (The Lorax)

Supplies:

Construction paper: green, blue, and yellow
Tissue paper
Glue
Markers

Tear a green sheet of construction paper in half long ways to create a grass area. Glue the green paper to the bottom of the blue sheet of construction paper, lining up the straight lines.

Tear thin strips of yellow paper to create tree trunks. Use markers to add stripes to the tree trunks. Glue trunks onto the grassy area. Tear tissue paper into pieces and use the end of a pencil and twist the tissue paper around the pencil end. Dip in glue and stick near top of tree trunks and gently pull the pencil away. Repeat until you have created the desired look of your Truffula Tree.

Hop On Pop Popcorn Fun

Make a popcorn bar with many different flavored popcorns or popcorn add-ins. Flavors can be created with different flavors of popcorn salts, drizzling melted chocolates over popcorn, mix popcorn with melted marshmallows, etc. The ideas are endless!

Green Eggs and Ham

Supplies:
Eggs
Green Food coloring
Slices of ham
Cooking spray
Frying pan or skillet

Directions: Add green food coloring to scrambled egg mix prior to cooking and cook as usual. Or add green food coloring shortly after breaking an egg into a frying pan for fried eggs and cook as usual. Fry up ham slices. Serve.

Supplies:

White paint paper
Orange water color paint
Paint brush
Yellow construction paper or cardstock
Scissors
Googly eyes
Markers

Directions:

Paint white paper orange. Let dry completely.

Cut out a mustache and eyebrows from yellow paper and glue onto orange painted paper.

Glue on googly eyes. Use markers to add a mouth and nose.

Supplies:

Paper plate
Gray paint
Gray construction paper, cardstock or scrapbook paper
Glue
Scissors
Googly eyes
Single hole punch
Chenille stem
Markers

Directions:

Paint back of paper plate gray. Let dry completely.

Cut out an ear, two legs, and a trunk from the gray paper.

Glue cut out pieces to the gray painted paper plate. Punch a hole where you want to place tail.

Shape chenille stem into desired tail shape and attach to paper plate using the hole punched hole.

Supplies:

White paper- cardstock, construction paper, or water color paper
Watercolors and paint brush
Fine tip Permanent marker such as a Sharpie
Glue or tape

Directions:

On a half sheet of paper draw a Seussical style fish in permanent marker.

Paint fish with watercolors and cut out on the outside of marker lines.

On a full sheet of paper paint lines with watercolors. After paint has dried, glue or tape fish to the middle of the full sheet of painted paper.

Supplies:

Paper plate
Orange and yellow construction paper
Orange paint and paintbrush
Glue
Markers

Directions:
Paint back of paper plate orange. Let dry completely. (If short on time, you can use a large orange construction paper circle)

Cut strips of paper about 1 inch thick for arms and legs.

Fold the papers accordion style and glue into place for arms and legs.

Trace hands onto yellow paper and cut out. Glue with thumbs going toward top of paper plate.

Cut out two yellow eyebrows and glue to plate. Glue on googly eyes. Add a nose and mouth with markers.
