These small paper tents are perfect for small toys. We printed the template and decorated it, then cut out the template, along the solid lines. Then fold along the dotted lines to create your tent shape. We used a small piece of tape to secure the bottom.

Using a forked branch, we decided to make a noise maker. We decorated our branch with colored yarn and temper paints. We then strung some large buttons and bells along a piece of pipe cleaner and twisted it in place between the branches. The children had a great time shaking and rattling the noise makers around camp.
Pine cones make wonderful painting tools. We dipped ours in several different colors of temper paint and rolled them on paper to create our prints. While this exercise was very messy, the children enjoyed seeing the different designs that they were able to create.
We had a great time collecting Pine Needles, then tying them together to create our own forest paint brushes. We then dipped the brushes in paint and attempted to recreate the tree that the pine needles had fallen from.
