Butterfly Wall Game

Let’s Play a Butterfly Wall game! Here is a game you can put up on the wall.
                          Easy as  a,b,c

  Butterfly Alphabet Wall
Game

  Materials needed:

• butterflies
• poster board 
• markers
• Velcro circles
• laminate or construction paper.

Directions: Attach to the poster board a
butterfly with each letter of the alphabet. On another set of butterflies write the alphabet. Affix one side of the Velcro sticker to the butterfly, and the other to the matching butterfly.

Place all of the loose butterflies in a butterfly net. Let the children pick a letter
and place it on the corresponding letter on the poster board.

Phonics: As the children place their butterfly on the corresponding letter have the children tell you what the sound is. Teach them the sound if they do not know what it is. Have the children think of other things that begin with the same sound.
