Baby Feet Trees

4/13/2014

Picture
This was a quick and simple painting to make. We painted a baby's foot brown, and stamped it 3 times onto our paper. Then we added small dots of green and red paint to make the leaves of the tree and flowers. Finally we drew in some grass as a base for the painting and mounted it on green construction paper.

You will need a piece of white paper, brown paint, white paper, glue and bits of tissue paper to complete this project.

Paint a brown tree onto your paper and allow it to dry. Once dry, create circles of glue around your tree. Crumple the bits of tissue and place them in the glue. Do so until the tree is covered in tissue, and allow the glue to dry.

Starbucks Palm Tree

Picture
This was a lot of fun. We used a Starbucks cup sleeve and the label cut from a coffee cup to create our own recycled art palm tree. We cut the sleeve into sections, then glued and overlapped them to create the tree trunk. We then made arched cuts to the logo (see example below), and glued them to the top of our tree trunk.
