Pine Cone Bird Feeder

Supplies Needed:

• Pine cones
• Peanut butter
• Plastic knife
• Birdseed
• Pipe Cleaner

Directions:

1. The fun begins when you challenge your child to hunt for as many fallen pine cones as he can find. If you live in an area without them, a great substitute is old bagels, sliced in half.
2. Spread peanut butter all over the pine cone, using a plastic knife or other child-friendly spreader.
3. Dip the peanut butter covered cone in birdseed.
4. Loop pipe cleaner around the pine cone, then tie it to a low-hanging tree branch... around eye/window level if possible.

Be ready to attract some unexpected guests. We were hoping for some birds, and got this little guy. Sometimes the unexpected results are the cutest results.
