Supplies Needed; Brown Construction Paper, white crayon or chalk, scissors and a stapler.
Directions; Cut your brown construction paper into strips. Using your crayon or chalk, draw lacing onto each strip. Staple the strips into circles, each looping through the previous. Make our chain as long (or short) as you wish. Supplies Needed; Paper Plate, brown and white paint, yarn or thread, scissors and a hole punch.
Directions; Paint the back side of your plate with brown paint, and allow to dry. Once dry cut the plate in half, and place the two white sides together (so that the brown sides face out). Use the hole punch to put several holes along the round edge of the plate. Tie off your yarn or thread, and lace it through the holes to create a bowl. Once finished, use white paint to create a lacing on the side of your bowl. Allow to dry, and fill with your favorite snack. Supplies Needed; Green and Brown Construction Paper, glue, and white paint.
Directions; Using the brown construction paper, assist children in cutting out an oval shape (football), and gluing it to the center of the green construction paper. Assist children in painting their hands white, and stamping them on either side of the football shape. Finally have the children paint laces on the football, and allow to dry. Here is a fun way to take a pool of the classroom and get them involved in choosing who they think will win the Super Bowl. Have the children sign under the team they will be rooting for.
