This activity will get children moving as they chase butterflies!

First we catch them! Attach each butterfly to a pipe cleaner. The butterfly at one end, attached to the butterfly at the other end. Arrange them so that it looks like the butterflies are flying just out of reach of the net. Let the children play with this inside and outside. Make several so everyone can play.They can actually catch the wiggly butterflies.
Remember to take pictures!
Have the children draw a picture about chasing butterflies. As they draw, write down their story. Display stories, pictures of children catching butterflies, the butterfly net and butterflies on the bulletin board.
