Supplies:

Letter C cut out or drawn on paper
Cookie cereal or baking chips or raisins

Directions:

Have children fill-in the letter C with cookie cereal or baking chips. Let the children eat the cereal or baking chips off their letter C. (Letter Cs in good condition can be saved for another project.)

*Variation: children can glue oatmeal onto the letter C for oatmeal cookies.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Prints

Supplies:

Brown Construction paper circles
Black or brown paint or ink pad

Directions:

Have children press a finger into paint or ink pads and stamp onto circles (cookies) to create chocolate chips on the cookie.

*Variation: use a rainbow of colors to create a rainbow chip cookie.

Cookie Number Chart

Construction paper with the number 1-10 written down one side
Cookie cereal

Directions:

Have children use cookie cereal to create a number chart.

Cookie Comparing

Supplies:

Brown construction paper
Dice
Baking chips or raisins

Directions:
Practice comparing number values playing a fun more than, less than activity.

Draw two circles in a row with space in-between the two circles on a piece of construction paper.

Use scraps of paper to create smaller circles with the symbols <, >, and =.

Roll a dice and place the amount rolled onto the first cookie.

Repeat for the second cookie.

Count and compare the number of baking chips or raisins in the cookies and decide which symbol >, <, = completes problem.

Place the correct symbol in-between the cookies.

Cookie Addition

Supplies:

Brown construction paper
Marker
Dice
Baking chips or raisins

Directions:

Draw three circles, spaced out, across the piece of paper.

Draw an addition sign in-between two of the circles and an equal sign between the other open space of the circles.

Have the children roll a dice and place baking chips or raisins of the number rolled onto the first cookie in the addition problem.

Repeat for the second number.

Next, add the numbers up in the cookies and place the correct amount in the equal cookie.

Cookie Math Recognition

Supplies:

Brown construction paper or cardstock
Markers
Baking chips of any kind or raisins
Circle tracer (optional)

Directions:

Number recognition: Cut circles out of the brown paper. Write numbers on the bottom of the circles. Give children baking chips such as chocolate chips and have them place the correct number on each circle (cookie).

On the backside of each circle make dotted numbers. Have children trace the numbers with their finger. Then, have children place the baking chips along the dots to create the numbers.
