We used hand prints to make fish. When the paint dried, we made the hand prints into little fish. We then assisted the children in cutting out the fish, and gluing them to a piece of blue construction paper.

Season Hand Prints

After story time, we asked the children to list their favorite elements of each season. We then settled on sunshine for summer, lady bugs for spring, pumpkins for fall, and mittens for winter. We made hand prints to match the items we chose, and decorated them to match.

Photocopy Hand Prints

This was a very easy way to show children what their hand prints actually look like. For the little ones, we held their hands steady. Older children were easily able to keep their hands in place. We then laminated the prints and gave them to the children to examine.

Hand Print Stegosaurus

After story time, we decided to make our own dinosaurs. We assisted the children in choosing their dinosaur outline, cutting and pasting it on to a piece of paper. We used green paint, to use hand prints to make the spike plates.
